Request deletion of your personal data from Humanit. Humanit removes or anonymises information according to the relevant feature, storage system and legal requirements. Some provider or backup retention periods may continue after an account or file is removed.

What is Deleted

  • •Supported Saved Work and account records identified in your deletion request
  • •Saved Writing Signature profiles
  • •Support ticket records associated with your email
  • •Any locally stored preferences in your browser

What is Retained (Legal Reasons)

  • •Anonymised operational logs required for security and fraud prevention
  • •Security and abuse-prevention metadata retained only for the period required for security, fraud prevention or legal obligations
  • •Records required by law or legal proceedings
  • •Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics

Processing Times

  • •Requests are handled within the timeframes required by applicable data-protection law
  • •We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request
  • •Complex or legally extended requests may take longer; we will tell you when an extension applies
  • •Browser-local data can be cleared directly through Humanit controls or your browser settings

Confirmation Process

  • •You'll receive an email confirmation when deletion is complete
  • •The confirmation will list what was deleted and what was retained
  • •If any data cannot be deleted (legal obligations), we'll explain why
  • •You can verify by attempting to access any previously stored features

How Data Handling Works

Humanit separates temporary task processing from account content you deliberately save. Signed-in uploads use private storage and short-lived signed processing links, but signed-link expiry does not prove physical deletion of the underlying platform file or backup. Database record deletion has been tested for supported records; platform file, backup and provider retention can follow separate rules. Use this form to request deletion of personal data and saved account records that Humanit can identify and remove.
