Humanit processes data to provide requested AI, document and account features. Guest content is temporary by default; signed-in uploads use private processing access; and content you explicitly save is retained according to the applicable account controls. You have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to processing. Contact privacy@ihumanit.com to exercise those rights.
Humanit is operated by Lycia Limited. Humanit is a Mi7z product brand. Lycia Limited acts as the data controller for personal data processed through the service where applicable.
For data protection enquiries, contact us at: privacy@ihumanit.com
When you use Humanit, we may process:
• Uploaded documents and pasted text required to perform the task you request.
• Generated outputs and analysis results, including records you deliberately save to your account.
• Basic technical and security data such as browser type, pseudonymous identifiers and IP-derived abuse-prevention signals.
• Account information, preferences, Saved Work, referral records and subscription data where you use those features.
• Optional Writing Signature profiles where you explicitly create and save one.
Signed-in file uploads use private storage with short-lived processing access. Saved account records and underlying platform file retention are governed separately.
Our legal basis for processing your data is:
• Legitimate interest: To provide the writing assistance service you have requested.
• Consent: For optional features such as Writing Signature storage, where you have explicitly opted in.
• Legal obligation: Where we are required to retain certain data for legal compliance.
Guest task content: Processed for the requested task and not added to account Saved Work.
Signed-in uploads: Stored privately for processing and accessed through short-lived signed links. Link expiry is not represented as proof of physical platform-file deletion.
Saved Work, reports, translations, preferences and Writing Signatures: Retained according to the feature and account retention controls until deleted or another documented rule applies.
Operational and security records: Retained only for the period needed for service operation, security, fraud prevention, legal obligations or troubleshooting.
Support tickets: Retained for support and audit purposes according to the support-data retention policy, then deleted or anonymised where applicable.
