Overview

Understand how Humanit protects younger users while keeping essential tools available.

Before you start

• A date of birth provided during onboarding

Steps

1. 1Humanit calculates your age from your date of birth - it does not persist a stale age value.
2. 2Your age band (under 13, 13–15, 16–17, 18–24, 25+) determines interface density, Responsible Use notices, and tool suitability.
3. 3Younger users see a simpler interface with fewer, clearer options - but essential study tools (including Citations) remain available.
4. 4Resume Builder and Style Guides are available to users aged 16 and above.
5. 5Responsible Use notices adapt: younger users see safety-first guidance; adults see brief reminders.

Tips

• Your age is calculated automatically - you do not need to update it.
• All your saved work, citations, and study activity are preserved when you cross an age threshold.
